Hunting

As you all know, hunting in the South is a little different than hunting in the mountains. The whitetail deer are much smaller than the western mule deer and instead of hiking to find your trophy you ride a four wheeler or mule to your blind and wait for them to come to you. A man in our ward was kind enough to let Kevin hunt on his private property where he raises longhorns- enjoy the pictures.
Pumpkins
Everything is BIGGER in Texas!

A lady in my ward gave us this vintage longhorn cheerleader outfit and we found matching shoes and pompoms but we couldn't find a hair bow so I had my friend make one especially for Kelsey's Halloween costume. She didn't keep any of her accessories with her for very long but I did manage to get this picture before she abandoned them.

Best Friends
Kelsey and Kyle love to play outside in our big back yard! They can spend hours just enjoying nature and one another. Recently, I went to pick up Kyle from school and his teacher asked if his sister's name was Kelsey. I said yes and she said that Kyle wrote about her because she was his best friend. How cute!

Trolley and Train

We went to storytime at the library and got to ride the trolley to the park where we rode the train. The kids got conductor hats and train suckers. They got train whistles when they finished the summer reading program, too. Kyle met some new friends and Kelsey is saying so many new words, "Chew, chew!"

Little Leopard

Kyle is constantly getting leopard pawprints at school for doing good things. Every Friday they pick a name out of a basket of students who received pawprints during the week. Kyle's name was chosen and he got a gold pawprint, a gold medal, and a kids meal at Applebees. We are so proud of our good little boy!

I'm too sexy!
Tribute to Tiger

When Kyle was little, he adored Aunt Melissa's giant tiger so Grandma and Grandpa Stewart soon got him his own, slightly smaller, black and white version. He carried that thing EVERYWHERE even though it was bigger than he was. After many baths in the washing machine, tiger just wasn't the same. Before we moved to Texas, Kyle decided to say goodbye to tiger and let another child love him. Here is the last picture with his childhood companion.
Sleeping Beauties

Aren't are babies so much alike? We have a picture of Kyle hanging on our bedroom wall when he was Kelsey's age and if you put a bow on his head- they would look exactly alike. Despite Kelsey's long eyelashes and pink waredrobe, people are constantly telling me how cute my little boy is. I guess we will have to continue to adorn her bald head with bows.
An apple a day...
Easter Ears

Although this was Kelsey's second easter she was only a couple months old last year so she had a blast collecting Easter eggs and eating the candy inside. Kyle went on several hunts and had baskets full of eggs and toys. He even got to paint a couple hard boiled eggs gold. P.S. Grandma has already found two eggs in her yard that were missed (atleast they didn't have slugs on them)!
The Zoo Crew
Hey good lookin, what ya got cookin?

Kelsey is definately a momma's girl and is attached to my hip every second of the day (except for naptime- yeah)! When Kyle comes home from school she will sometimes play with him but the only time she plays with anything by herself is when she is in the kitchen. She loves to pull things out of my cubbards and she loves her play kitchen. This helps me get laundry, dishes, and dinner done without my little chef.
All I want is my two front teeth!
Dental Daddy!

As you know, February is Dental Health Month, so Kevin visited all the schools in the surrounding area to talk about brushing, flossing, and seeing a dentist twice a year. Kyle got to go up in front of the students and be a tooth while daddy flossed between the children with a jump rope. The perks of having a Dental Daddy!
