Parties

It seems like every weekend, Kyle is being invited to another birthday party of one of his classmates! Here is a picture of Kyle attempting to hit a pinata and send candy flying all over the backyard.

Hunting

As you all know, hunting in the South is a little different than hunting in the mountains. The whitetail deer are much smaller than the western mule deer and instead of hiking to find your trophy you ride a four wheeler or mule to your blind and wait for them to come to you. A man in our ward was kind enough to let Kevin hunt on his private property where he raises longhorns- enjoy the pictures.

Pumpkins

Kyle and Kevin each carved pumpkins this year and they did a fabulous job! Kelsey loved the texture of the pumpkin pulp and we even cooked the pumpkin seeds as is tradition in our family.

Everything is BIGGER in Texas!

A lady in my ward gave us this vintage longhorn cheerleader outfit and we found matching shoes and pompoms but we couldn't find a hair bow so I had my friend make one especially for Kelsey's Halloween costume. She didn't keep any of her accessories with her for very long but I did manage to get this picture before she abandoned them.

TOP GUN!

This year we attended the first annual Smile Magic Halloween Party and Kyle dressed up as Tom Cruz' infamous character- Top Gun. He had so much fun playing on the slide, watching movies, and eating lots of sugar!

It's a Boy!

We found out that we are having a baby mid-January and it is a boy! Kevin likes the name Jacob but I am an Edward fan and Edward is my dad's middle name so we are naming our him Jacob Edward Stewart and his nursery will be done in black and red- how fun!

Kyle's Kite

I just downloaded all 700 of Grandma Enright's digital pictures off of her camera and found this picture from last Fall. Kyle loves to fly kites at the beach or in the backyard! Keep flying high, Ky Ky!

My Little White Dress

This picture was taken over Christmas 09 and Kelsey wore it to Allison's wedding! THe way time flies, it won't be too long and Kelsey will be wearing a white dress to her baptism and later to the temple.

Sweet Swimmer

Kelsey is all ready to go swimming in the hotel pool! She is such a good little swimmer and loves to be in the water with her brother and grandparents!

Self Portrait

Kyle loves to play with digital cameras and he really likes to take pictures of himself. Here is his latest masterpiece!

Out of this World Grandpa

Happy Birthday Grandpa- you are out of this world! Thanks for all you do for us and especially for the NASA stuff you gave my class- they thought is was so cool! I have the best grandparents in the world!

First Grade

Kyle is in first grade this year and his teacher is Mrs. Johnson. He says school is AWESOME and his teacher is PERFECT! We are so proud of our little scholar- he is reading above grade level and constantly coming home with stickers and leopard paws for his good behavior! Keep up the good work buckaroo!

Best Friends

Kelsey and Kyle love to play outside in our big back yard! They can spend hours just enjoying nature and one another. Recently, I went to pick up Kyle from school and his teacher asked if his sister's name was Kelsey. I said yes and she said that Kyle wrote about her because she was his best friend. How cute!

Chip

We found a turtle in our front yard the other day and Kyle wanted to keep it as a pet. We put it in a box, gave him vegetables to eat, and water to drink. Kyle watched him all day long and then we decided to let him go back to his family. See ya around, Chip!

Grandma and Grandpa Stewart

Grandma and Grandpa Stewart traveled on a plane all the way from Utah to Texas and stayed with us for a whole week. They read lots of books and played with lots of toys!

Trolley and Train

We went to storytime at the library and got to ride the trolley to the park where we rode the train. The kids got conductor hats and train suckers. They got train whistles when they finished the summer reading program, too. Kyle met some new friends and Kelsey is saying so many new words, "Chew, chew!"

Sliding and Climbing

Grandma and Grandpa came up for Memorial Day and the kids just wanted to play. Kyle took Kelsey down the slide and then Kyle got to go on the climbing wall. What a ball!

Walking on Her Knees

Kelsey is walking around like crazy now but she used to walk on her knees everywhere she went. She is getting so many teeth but didn't even have one until she was 11 months old. They grow up too fast!

Sonic

Our family loves Sonic and we start early!

Babes Cowboy

We had to go to our favorite restaurant, Babes, after the aquarium and Kyle made a few new friends. In addition to this cowboy, he helped the waitresses roll silverware in napkins at the end of their shift. What a helper!

Dallas World Aquarium

Both sets of grandparents came to visit and we went sight seeing! The acquarium was full of all kinds of animals and sea life including flamigos, penguins, crocodiles, and a lazy jacquar. We even got to witness shark feeding time!

Taygen Roarke Whiting

Stacia and Clint had their first baby boy on June 17 at 9:18pm. He was 7lbs 15oz and measured 20.5 inches tall. I was able to fly out to see the happy family for a couple days! My first nephew is a cutie!

Diggin' for Dinos

Kelsey and Kyle loved the Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point! They played in sand and water, looked at tons of dino fossils and even got to dig for dinos!

Melissa's Graduation

Melissa graduated from UVU wi!th her bachelor's degree in Business. Good Luck Aunt Miss.

Utah or Bust!

Kelsey and Kyle loved playing in the airport before our flight! However, they did not like being strapped in for hours on end during the plane ride. Kyle found a massage chair in the Oklahoma City airport and said, "It was the best dollar he ever spent!"

Little Leopard

Kyle is constantly getting leopard pawprints at school for doing good things. Every Friday they pick a name out of a basket of students who received pawprints during the week. Kyle's name was chosen and he got a gold pawprint, a gold medal, and a kids meal at Applebees. We are so proud of our good little boy!

I'm too sexy!

Kyle loves to get my camera and take pictures of himself- this is one of my favorites- need I say more?

Tribute to Tiger

When Kyle was little, he adored Aunt Melissa's giant tiger so Grandma and Grandpa Stewart soon got him his own, slightly smaller, black and white version. He carried that thing EVERYWHERE even though it was bigger than he was. After many baths in the washing machine, tiger just wasn't the same. Before we moved to Texas, Kyle decided to say goodbye to tiger and let another child love him. Here is the last picture with his childhood companion.

Sleeping Beauties

Aren't are babies so much alike? We have a picture of Kyle hanging on our bedroom wall when he was Kelsey's age and if you put a bow on his head- they would look exactly alike. Despite Kelsey's long eyelashes and pink waredrobe, people are constantly telling me how cute my little boy is. I guess we will have to continue to adorn her bald head with bows.

An apple a day...

Kelsey does not like baby food- especially when we are eating REAL FOOD! She loves it when her big brother shares his big food and she will even share half chewed food with us too. How sweet!

Easter Ears

Although this was Kelsey's second easter she was only a couple months old last year so she had a blast collecting Easter eggs and eating the candy inside. Kyle went on several hunts and had baskets full of eggs and toys. He even got to paint a couple hard boiled eggs gold. P.S. Grandma has already found two eggs in her yard that were missed (atleast they didn't have slugs on them)!

The Zoo Crew

We should have bought the family pass to the Frank Buck Zoo here in Gainesville because Kyle wants to go and see the animals ALL THE TIME! It was much cooler than the last time we went last summer and Kelsey enjoyed it much more notw that she is older.

Hey good lookin, what ya got cookin?

Kelsey is definately a momma's girl and is attached to my hip every second of the day (except for naptime- yeah)! When Kyle comes home from school she will sometimes play with him but the only time she plays with anything by herself is when she is in the kitchen. She loves to pull things out of my cubbards and she loves her play kitchen. This helps me get laundry, dishes, and dinner done without my little chef.

All I want is my two front teeth!

Kevin got to pull Kyle's first tooth out but he was on a campout when his second was loose and so I got to pull his second one. Now he has a big gap right in the front and sometimes he whistles when he talks. Kyle loves to take pictures of himself and this is a self portrait.

Dental Daddy!

As you know, February is Dental Health Month, so Kevin visited all the schools in the surrounding area to talk about brushing, flossing, and seeing a dentist twice a year. Kyle got to go up in front of the students and be a tooth while daddy flossed between the children with a jump rope. The perks of having a Dental Daddy!

Birthday Bash

Grandma and Grandpa Enright came up for the weekend to celebrate Kelsey's first birthday. We had a Princess Birthday party complete with boas, staff, and tiara. I can't believe my baby girl is so big!

Couch and Chair

After months of back aches from sitting on cots ~ We FINALLY got something to sit on. We have always had hand-me-down and garage sale furniture so it is nice to have something brand new!
